About Us

I am Mary Roseborough, the Founder of Love N Cherish Family Center. Growing up in Rock Hill, SC, I was raised by my grandmother along with many other children in the household. There were many days when we did not have a lot of the basic necessities, but we had an abundance of love. However, as we all know, love alone cannot provide food, clothing, pay bills, and so on.

For years, I have had a deep desire to feed others, whether it was by inviting people to come and get a plate after church or by cooking a large dinner. I simply love helping others. My passion for assisting those in the community who are striving to help themselves grew even stronger when my daughter got married and had a child at a young age. She was unable to receive basic assistance, despite her husband working and her attending college. Everywhere she went seeking help, she was turned away because the programs were designed to aid those below the poverty line and did not consider individuals who were working, going to school, and struggling to make ends meet.

In 2008, Love N Cherish Family Center, Inc. was established with the purpose of extending a helping hand to those who are striving to overcome life's obstacles and create a future for themselves, their families, and the community, all while balancing work, education, and the pursuit of a better life.
